Call me crazy, but I got married on Valentines Day 24 years ago. It’s one of those things I always wanted like the white picket fence. I did get that by the way, at least for a few years. Little did I know at the time, but I became a floral shop owner and was too busy on Valentines Day to celebrate our anniversary on the day. And have you ever tried to go out to eat on Valentines Day. Well let’s just say the service is terrible.
So with that being said, here is my top 5 things I would like for Valentines Day.
1. Box of Chocolates (Sees, Godiva, even my favorites whoppers)
2. A Romantic Movie (The Notebook, or this year The Vow. When we got married it was Endless
Love, that was our wedding song)
3. Dinner out. (Not on Valentines Day, I found out that is the worst day for service)
4. A small rose plant. (Fresh flowers are way to expensive during this week)
5. A handwritten card. (My hubby is good at picking out just the right one, he usually writes on the
mirror in the bathroom with my lipstick)
Make that 6.
6. Who could say no to Jewelry.
Are you a romantic and celebrate Valentines Day, or is it a day for your kids. What do you like to receive or give.

I love Valentine's Day, but I am not exactly sure why!
I think it symobolizes hope of some sort…and I really like heart shapes! What a wonderful wedding day!
I feel the same way. Its a day where many feel loved, but I understand its also a hard day for some.
We never really did a ton for Valentine's Day, maybe little trinkets or cards or what not but nothing over the top. That's fine with me!

Its what you make it. I love getting just a card.
I've never been a Valentine's Day fan
Though any excuse for chocolate works for me!

Chocolate is a great excuse.
I personally am not huge into valentines day not because I am currently single but because I think things that happen on valentines should happen more then once a year between couples so to me it should be another day..

Great list! I always want chocolate, not specifically on Valentine's day. Just in general.
And happy early anniversary!
We don't really go out on Valentine's Day for the same reason. That and I hate the prix fixes menus everywhere— they all seem identical.
Last year we cooked at home and did a candle light picnic (inside!). Maybe we'll do something similar…..
I did that once, I pretended our house was a hotel and did the dinner, movie and champagne, it was great.
Great list! I always tell my husband he can never top the Valentine's gift he gave me 6 years ago when he surprised me on Valentine's Day by coming home from deployment. A simple card and dinner at home is all I need to reflect on the wonderful Valentine that I have
Stopping through on the Alexa Hop. Happy (belated) Anniversary!!!
