Believe it or not, today is my 24th Wedding Anniversary. Yes, we started dating in high school and got married a few years later. Here is our picture back then. We joke that were not sure it was windy that day, or he was going for the Flock of Seagulls look.
We started dating on Valentines Day and then he proposed a few years later and picked Valentines Day to be the day. Actually, when he proposed, I think he thought I would be really excited and be happy with the proposal. My first response was “what day will it be?” he was a little taken back. So we waited 13 months until the big day in 1988.
I had a whole year to plan it and that was my total focus. Now 24 years later and 3 children, he still is my Valentine.
This is what I found in the bathroom when I woke up. It’s a good thing I didn’t get up in the night. That might have been an uncomfortable accident.
There is a big box of chocolates and my favorite licorice and good and plentys. We celebrated last Sunday because it is so busy today with kids parties and I feel like its too crowded to go out. He also works late and would be difficult to get in anywhere. We also went to see the movie The Vow. It was really good, I recommend it, its really a chick flick but on Valentines Day us women pretty much get to pick the movie. I think I should have shown him my post Valentine gifts. But, I’m pretty happy. He got the starbucks card so he can share with me.
I apologize for the lateness of this post, but I wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day and would love to here how you celebrated.
