4th of July is the time of year that we celebrate America and food. It was almost two weeks ago that we had Red Velvet Pancakes with cream cheese glaze and I told my hubby we should do this for the 4th of July. He loves to make breakfast and especially pancakes. He loves to try new things and create different flavors. I told him he needed to start writing a cookbook or create some mixes. For more red velvet recipes try these.

Red Velvet Cupcakes
Later that day we brought some Red Velvet cupcakes to the party. I added some cute cupcake toppers on top that I found here. I added a little blue food coloring to the pastry bag when I topped off the frosting, this way it made a swirl of two colors.
Another favorite that I made today for another barbecue I went to were these great brownies. I am sure there are more great things made with wonderful red velvet ingredients. Let me know what you like to bring to barbecues, and leave me a comment or follow me on Instagram.

Those pancakes are mouthwatering! I don't do a lot of cooking personally, and I love to bring a nice cold watermelon to barbecues 🙂
