Instant Pot Blackberry Iced Tea
A refreshing Blackberry Iced Tea you can make in just a few minutes in your Instant Pot. Add some honey, some fresh blackberries, and a sprig of basil for a beautiful glass of Iced Tea.
- 8 Cups Water
- 6 Black Tea Bags Remove the Tags
- 1 1/2 Cups Fresh Black Berries Frozen Is Fine also
- 2 TB Basil Fresh Leaves Chopped
- 1/2 Cup Local Honey
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 2 TB Lemon Juice Fresh
- Fresh Blackberries For Garnish optional
- Basil Sprigs Optional for Glass
Simple Syrup Instructions
While the tea is brewing, add remaining blackberries, basil, honey and water to a saucepan and set over medium heat. Cook, gently pressing on the blackberries to release their juices while continually stirring the mixture to combine for 4 - 5 minutes.
Once honey is melted and mixture starts to thicken remove from heat and set aside.
When the cook time on the Instant Pot is complete, allow pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then do a quick release for any remaining pressure.
Carefully strain hot tea mixture with a fine mesh strainer. Pour the reserved liquid into a large, heat resistant pitcher and sweeten with the blackberry honey simple syrup to taste. Add fresh lemon juice and stir to combine.
Serve immediately over ice with fresh blackberries and a sprig of fresh basil for garnish. Enjoy!
