This Iced Blueberry Matcha Latte is the perfect summer drink. It's made with a homemade blueberry syrup, your favorite Matcha powder, and takes only 10 minutes to make.
½Cupwaterplus extra if needed for mixing matcha according to package directions
¼Cupsugar
2Cupsmilk
Enough ice to fill 2 cups
Instructions
Prepare your matcha according to the package directions. Set aside.
Add the blueberries, sugar, and water to a medium saucepan and place on the stovetop over medium/high heat.
Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to medium, and simmer for 5-6 minutes until slightly thickened. Make sure to stir the mixture constantly while it simmers.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and pour the syrup through a mesh strainer into a glass cup or jar to remove all the blueberry pieces.
Fill two tall glasses with ice and drizzle two tablespoons of blueberry syrup into each glass.
Pour one cup of milk into each glass.
Divide and pour your prepared matcha equally into each glass.
Give each latte a quick stir and serve immediately.
Notes
For an elegant touch, garnish with a few whole blueberries or a sprig of mint. Add a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice to give your Matcha beverage an antioxidant boost.
