Enjoy the flavors of sweetness and earthiness with our Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies. These tea cookie treats blend the subtle flavor of matcha with buttery goodness, resulting in a harmony of taste and texture.
Add salt, baking soda, and flour to large bowl. Mix
Add brown sugar, sugar, matcha, and softened butter in a separate large bowl, and mix until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and mix.
Slowly stir in the flour while the batter is whisking.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out cookie dough (or 2 tbsp). Roll it into an even ball and place it on a cookie sheet. Leave room around each cookie to expand.
Cook at 350° for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Once done let cookies rest for 5 minutes and remove them to a cookie rack for further cooling. Enjoy warm and with a glass of cold milk!
Notes
You can change out the Chocolate Chips for White Chocolate Chips.
You can either drizzle or dip the cookies in melted chocolate chips or white chocolate chips.
You can substitute vanilla extract for almond extract.
