    What does Charcuterie Mean?

When I was in Culinary School quite a few years ago, we learned this term, it was before it became such a sought-after food item for parties. Here is the correct way to pronounce it. shär-ˌkü-tə-ˈrē Here is the original meaning according to Webster’s: a delicatessen specializing in dressed meats and meat dishes. It has taken on a whole to life in the last 5 years at parties and get-togethers.
