Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine a box of cake mix with egg, extract, oil, and baking powder.
Step 2: Add sprinkles and white chocolate chips if desired.
Step 3: Using a cookie scoop or Table spoon, roll into a ball.
Step 4: Using a cookie scoop form a ball and place on parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
Step 5: Using the bottom of the glass, press slightly down on cookie ball.
Step 6: Optional – you can add a drizzle of white chocolate chips and add additional sprinkles.
Notes
- 1. Don’t Overmix the Dough Stir just until the ingredients are combined. Overmixing can make the cookies tough instead of light and crispy.
- 2. Chill the Dough (Optional but Helpful!) If the dough feels sticky, chill it in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before scooping. This makes it easier to handle and helps cookies hold their shape.
- 3. Use Parchment Paper or a Silicone Baking Mat This prevents sticking and helps the cookies bake evenly with a nice, crisp bottom.
- 4. Space Cookies Properly Leave about 2 inches between each cookie on the baking sheet since they spread a little while baking.
- 5. Don’t Overbake Bake until the edges are just slightly golden (about 8–10 minutes). The centers may look soft, but they’ll firm up as they cool.
Storage Tips
Keep cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
FAQ’s
Add different sprinkles, dust with powdered sugar, or cut out cookies into heart shapes.
If you overmix, undertake, or add too much liquid your cookies can come out too soft.
Yes! You can prepare the dough ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours before baking. If it’s too firm, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
